Jubaea chilensis
Category: Palm tree
Origin: Chile
Description: The Chilean palm, or coconut tree of chili, is a very impressive palm, being the most corpulent of them, reaching heights of 30 m with a thick trunk composed of fibers, up to 1-3 m in diameter at the base, usually narrower upwards, and smooth bark. It is very slow growing, so slow that the germination of its seed alone can last for months or even years, and reach reproductive age between 35 and 70 years.
In Ornamentales Soler we have stock of Jubaeas chilensis or also known Chilean palm in container of 10L, 50L, and specimens of 50-60cm trunk up to 120cm both rooted in container and to cepellón direct from the field.
