Description: It is a conifer that can reach up to 30 meters. The shape of the crown is compact and narrow.
The buds, with very small leaves, with scales very close to the bud, are arranged on all sides of the branches being round or almost square.
The leaves are scaly, thin, flattened, obtuse-tipped, depressed, imbricate, matt dark green, without resiniferal glands. Terminal male inflorescences, solitary or in groups and female ones forming axillary cones.
