Origin: Northwestern Argentina, eastern Uruguay and endemic to central-eastern Brazil
Description: Butia capitata is able to tolerate temperatures of up to 12 degrees below zero, being one of the hardest palm trees and resistant both to different climates and for its capacity to be transplanted.
In 2018, Viveros y Ornamentales Soler distributed more than 600 specimens of Butia capitata of different sizes; from species in 70L buckets, to specimens of several meters of trunk, both in pot and root ball.
