Description: Citrus aurantifolia, lime or lime is a tree of the family Rutaceae, belonging to the genus Citrus.
It is a hybrid species of Citrus micrantha × Citrus medica, native to Southeast Asia and introduced to Europe in times of the Crusades through the Middle East and North Africa.
