Origin: It is a palm native to southern California
Description: It is a palm of the family of Arecaceae, with robust, slender and simple trunk up to 35 meters tall, thickened at the base, covered by the remains of the dried leaves that form a characteristic additive, although disappears time. It has fan leaves, with white and long threads in the youth that disappear in the age, divided almost to the half, with segments pending, with long petioles of thorny edges. It is one of the most used palms in gardening for its beauty, rapid growth and for its great capacity to be transplanted and cultivated.
