Description: Cupressus macrocarpa var. goldcrest, commonly known as lemon cedar, is a variety or cultivar of Cupressus macrocarpa, also known as goldcrest, California cypress, Monterey cypress or lemon cup.
This type of cypress needs plenty of sunlight to grow. It also grows properly sown in medium shade. It can grow in high altitude places or in places near the sea. They have leaves in the form of yellowish green scales that give off a smell similar to that of lemon; the trunk is brown and very wrinkled and cracked, and can measure up to half a metre in circumference.
