Description: Morus alba is a species of tree belonging to the genus Morus, family of the Moraceae.
Trees up to 15 meters high.
The species is cultivated for its leaves, the only food of the silkworms, whose cocoons are used to make silk.
Apart from their use as growing trees they are used as ornamentals in gardens, walks and streets.
