Description: Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis or commonly known as Buddha’s Hand, is a variety of cider whose fruits are fragmented into fingers. The cider grows in shrubs or small trees with long, irregular branches covered with thorns.
The ripening and harvesting time of this variety extends from September to March. The tree is sensitive to freezing, intense heat and drought. Areas such as Southern California and inland valleys are considered ideal for cultivation.
